3 Grace and peace to you[a] from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Grace and peace to you
Grace is unmerited favour from God and that is why no man can boast about his salvation for it is by grace that you are saved.

Peace is tranquility, calmness, stillness. How can we have peace in a troubled world? Only God can grant us peace of mind and soul. "I am leaving you with a gift--peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid,” said Jesus.

Jesus also told his disciples, “If the home is deserving, let your peace rest on it; if it is not, let your peace return to you.”(Mt10:13) This is powerful because as servants of Christ we can share our gift of peace with others and if they refuse we can have it back. Why take it back? It is stated there that they do not deserve it. Have you had such an encounter where you had to get retrieve your gift of peace?

God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ
God is my Father and I’m proud to say it. Fathers play important roles in home building as the head of the family. Knowing God as a father is one part of knowing God that stays with you your whole life. However, there are many fatherless people in the world – the result of marriage failures and immorality. Come to God the Father and He will make you a better son or daughter. Trust me on this.
Jesus was an example of a Son trained by the Father. God was well pleased with Jesus. Jesus is Lord because he obeyed his Father. Through the Gospels, Jesus maintained a constant relationship with the Father. I want to be an obedient son who is in constant touch with my Father. I want to tell him my hopes, dreams, joys, frustrations, sins, weaknesses and successes. 

Paul usually says this prayer in his letters because he felt the Fatherly love and the Lordship of Jesus he could not deny. Make this prayer come true in your life today, get back to the Father and He will give you grace and peace.
